Cincinnati Bengals star wide receiver Ja’Marr Chase helped the team earn their first win of the season with an electric 63-yard touchdown catch in the second quarter that gave the Bengals a lead that they’d keep for the rest of the game.
The catch wasn’t on the end of a bomb, but rather, was a result of Chase’s yards-after-catch ability as he turned a 13-yard catch into a 63-yard house call.
OH MY JA'MARR CHASE. ELECTRIC 63-YARD TD.

Given the way he slipped through defenders’ fingers on the touchdown, a reporter asked Chase after the game if he was wearing baby oil, which Chase previously revealed his father would rub on him before games when he was a kid.
“[My dad] just said, ‘Come here,’” Chase told The Athletic in 2023 “Then he rubbed hella baby oil on me … He used to do it almost every game. Then he told me don’t touch myself.”
With baby oil being in the news recently due to the arrest of Sean ‘Diddy’ Combs, however, the reporter’s question caught Chase off guard, producing a hilarious response in which he referred to the disgraced rapper and producer.
“No [I wasn’t wearing baby oil]. We gotta keep that for somebody else. That’s not my question right there. “I did do it as a kid though. You can’t even ask that no more bro. There’s too much going on in life right now with that,” Chase said.
Was #Bengals wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase wearing baby oil during his wild 63-yard touchdown against the Panthers?🤣🤣
(Shoutout to @Trags for the video and @FOX19Jeremy for asking a question that made everyone, including Ja'Marr laugh)😂 pic.twitter.com/YT23GdNhbQ
