The play led Falcons head coach Arthur Smith to curse out Saints head coach Dennis Allen after the game for running up the score.
During his postgame press conference, Allen revealed that he had instructed his players to kneel the ball, but they overruled him to get Jamaal Williams a touchdown.
While speaking to media members, Winston said he apologized to Allen, but the offensive players decided as a collective unit to get Williams a TD.
One reporter wasn’t satisfied with Winston’s answers, and the two got into an argument while the cameras were rolling.
Winston: Why don’t you feel good about it?
Reporter: “..your head coach tells you kneel it out, I think you guys should have kneeled it out. I’m telling you as respectfully as I can… that I respectfully disagree.”
Winston: “You disagree with me or the entire team?”
Reporter: “Whoever made that decision.”
Winston: “So you disagree with the entire team, thank you”
