Jason Kelce has responded publicly to an ugly incident involving a Penn State fan over the weekend. The fan threw a slur at his brother, Travis, sparking a response from the former Philadelphia Eagles offensive lineman.

The spat occurred Saturday with the Nittany Lions gearing up to host the Ohio State Buckeyes.

“Kelce, how does it feel that your brother is a f—– for dating Taylor Swift?” the PSU supporter asked. Jason Kelce responded by slamming his counterpart’s phone onto the concrete.

The back and forth was heated, and though many sided with Kelce in the situation, he’s apologized for his role in the argument.

“I think everybody’s seen on social media everything that took place this weekend,” he said on the set of Monday Night Football. “I’m not happy with anything that took place. I’m not proud of it, and in a heated moment, I chose to greet hate with hate. I don’t think that that’s a productive thing – I really don’t.

“I don’t think that it leads to discourse, and it’s the right way to go about things. In that moment, I fell down to a level that I shouldn’t have. So, I think the bottom line is, I want to try to live my life by the golden rule… I try to treat people kindly with decency and respect. I’m going to keep doing that moving forward, even though I fell short this week.”

Jason Kelce reacted to the situation in a manner he’s not proud of. He vows to be better moving forward while putting this most recent scene behind him.
