It seems that ESPN is not concerned about the overexposure of future Hall of Fame center Jason Kelce. According to reports, Kelce has emerged as a “dark horse candidate” for ESPN’s #2 NFL broadcasting crew alongside Dave Pasch and Mike Monaco.
According to a new report from The Athletic‘s Andrew Marchand, ESPN is expected to overhaul its No. 2 NFL game-calling team of Chris Fowler, Dan Orlovsky, and Louis Riddick, who have called games together for three seasons, most notably on night where there were two Monday Night Football games.
The shake-up to ESPN’s #2 NFL crew comes as a result of the network’s recent deal with the league that saw them take over the NFL Network. The Monday Night Football doubleheaders that the current booth primarily called are going away, and the seven games ESPN picks up through NFL Network are expected to be mostly international, thus making Fowler, ESPN’s top college football game play-by-play announcer, largely unavailable.
NFL fans are seemingly reaching their breaking point with Jason Kelce content following report he could become a part of ESPN’s NFL broadcast crew
Given how seemingly omnipresent Jason Kelce has become in sports media, however, NFL fans are largely less than thrilled at the news.
at some point i’m gonna go pee during a game and jason kelce is just gonna be in my bathroom https://t.co/mpcxIYeiQB

“ESPN just shoving Jason Kelce down our throats and I just don’t get it,” one sports fan tweeted.
“Finally getting rid of Orlovsky just to force more Jason Kelce on people. The people who run this network are so bad at their jobs and hate fans,” a second added.
“The over Kelceifying of sports media will be the biggest mistake ESPN makes in its history,” a third concurred.
“I’m starting to respect the hell out of ESPN for this. They saw all the Kelce masters hate tweets and said ‘F it, we ball.’ They shouldn’t stop until he’s on everything. College Gameday (both), masters, PGA Tour Live ESPN+ coverage, MNF. Run it up herman, leave no doubt,” a fourth joked.

Kelce, who signed a three-year, $24 million deal with ESPN in 2024 when he retired from the Eagles, currently works as a studio analyst on Monday Night Countdown, and was announced as one of the network’s hosts for the Masters’ Par-3 contest earlier this week.
