Jaxson Dart has extra motivation to win when Ole Miss hosts Oklahoma in Oxford in October. Billy Bowman Jr. sparked a major beef between the Rebels and Sooners with a jab at the dark horse Heisman Trophy candidate’s deep ball.

It’s going to be SPICY when these two SEC teams get on the field for just the second time in history!

Dart is entering his third season as the starting quarterback for Lane Kiffin. The former USC transfer completed 65% of his passes for 3,364 yards and 23 touchdowns with just five interceptions last year.

Most of the offense chose to run it back for ‘The Last Dance’ in 2024. An extremely talented group of transfers will provide a much-needed boost to the offensive line. It also gives Dart even more weapons in the backfield and at receiver.

All of this goes to say that Ole Miss expects to light up the scoreboard.

Dart is currently down in Louisiana to participate at the Manning Passing Academy. He’s dropping bombs.

However, one particular video of Dart in Thibodaux has created a lot of negative chatter. Neither of his two throws were spectacular but he was just messing around like a drunk uncle at the barbecue.

The video inspired Billy Bowman Jr. to take a shot at Jaxson Dart on X. It was completely unprompted. Nobody asked the former four-star defensive back to chime in!

Dart clapped right back.

Meanwhile, here is a video of Oklahoma quarterback Jackson Arnold on which Bowman conveniently chose not to comment:

Everybody misses throws. It happens. Especially in such a casual setting where guys are just airing it out.

And yet… you don’t see any Rebels chirping Arnold!

Ole Miss was already going to be fired up to play Oklahoma for just the second time in history and the first time as conference opponents. Bowman is just adding fuel to the fire.
