Boston Celtics star forward Jaylen Brown is widely considered one of the smartest players in the league. The Cal alum is a cerebral player and thinker, but he may have mad a pretty dumb decision on Wednesday night.
In a game against the Detroit Pistons, Brown gave Piston center Isaiah Stewart the slasher motion. That gesture is likely to land him in hot water.
Brown, coming off his NBA Finals MVP season, is off to a solid start this year, averaging 25.0 points, 6.4 rebounds, and 4.3 assists per contest for the 18-4 defending champions.
In the first half of the team’s game against the Pistons, Jaylen Brown put Stewart on a poster. But, then, he made a big mistake. Take a look.

Yeah, you cannot do that. Great dunk, but that’s going to see some discipline from the league office. After the game, Jaylen Brown acknowledged that a fine was coming.

“Just caught up in the moment, I guess. Big play.”
Does he expect to hear from the NBA about it?

Brown had a monster game, scoring 29 points to go along with 9 rebounds and 6 assists in the 130-120 Celtics’ win.
