Texans wide receiver Jaylin Noel scored his first touchdown as an NFL player against the Ravens and immediately ruffled some feathers by pulling out a celebration associated with Ray Lewis. Jaire Alexander subsequently tried to steal the ball he’d used to score, and the rookie’s mom couldn’t stop herself from getting involved online after watching what unfolded.

Thousands of NFL players have managed to score at least one touchdown over the course of their career, and while it isn’t necessarily the rarest feat, it still makes you a member of a fairly exclusive club in the grand scheme of things.

Texans rookie Jaylin Noel was still hoping to join it when his squad faced off against the Ravens on Sunday, and the former Iowa State wide receiver (who was selected by Houston in the third round of the draft) finally checked that box during his team’s 44-10 rout over Baltimore.

His decision to do a dance that’s firmly associated with Ray Lewis did not sit well with Ravens CB Jaire Alexander, and we were treated to a little bit of drama that led to Noel’s mom entering the fray as well.

The Ravens have had plenty of issues during a season where they’ve gotten off to a 1-4 start, and a defense that’s currently on pace to become the first one in NFL history to allow 600 points in a season certainly hasn’t helped the cause.

On Sunday, it allowed the Texans to rack up 417 yards of total offense during a 44-10 blowout that tied a 34-point loss to the Patriots in 2013 for the most lopsided defeat the franchise has ever suffered at home.

The outcome of the game was essentially decided when Jaylin Noel hauled in a four-yard touchdown pass that gave his team a 41-10 lead toward the start of the fourth quarter, and the rookie decided to celebrate his first TD as an NFL player by hitting Ray Lewis’ signature squirrel dance.

That did not go over well with Jaire Alexander, who tried (and failed) to steal the memento Noel was able to bring with him to the sideline—a development the latter’s mom, Deidre, crowed about after watching it unfold.

The proud mother sent out some other tweets that made it clear she enjoyed watching what went down on Sunday, and her son and his team certainly gave her a reason to take a victory lap.
