Former 49ers QB Jeff Garcia did not react well when confronted about the incendiary comments he made about ESPN personality Mina Kimes earlier this week.
On Thursday, Garcia went on a wild Instagram rant after seeing Kimes criticize Niners QB Jimmy Garoppolo.

After receiving a massive amount of backlash from sports journalists who felt his comments were sexist, Garcia appeared on 95.7 The Game’s Steiny & Guru show to talk discuss his controversial comments.
During his interview, Garcia was adamant that his comments towards Kimes were not sexist, and he felt that the backlash was unwarranted.

Jeff Garcia said he thought he was simply commenting on a piece of 49ers content that came across his IG feed:
"It had nothing to do with her being a woman. It just had to do with the timing that I caught the subject matter."

At one point in the interview, a fed-up Garcia began shouting at the host and threatened to hang up while saying that he was done with the matter.

Jeff Garcia: All I said is that you never played the game. You don’t know what it’s like to be on the field.
Radio host: Well, why not apologize?
Jeff Garcia: I’ll get off the phone right now, I’m not going to talk about this crap anymore if this is what the conversation is going to be, I was brought on to talk about the 49er game, hey that’s yesterday’s news, that’s history. It’s old, it’s old, move on.
Radio host: Jeff, we told you that we were going to bring this up.
Jeff Garcia: You’re playing the victim to the whole media circus, screw that man.
Eventually, Garcia hung up when the radio host continued to press him about Kimes.
