We are just a few days out from the first NFL Sunday of the year, and players from all 32 teams are chomping at the bit to get out there and play a meaningful game after a long offseason. One of the biggest storylines heading into Week 1 is how will the 2024 NFL Draft’s first-overall pick, Caleb Williams, will play when his Bears take on the Tennessee Titans.

The intensity in that game just went way up on Wednesday, as Tennessee Titans star interior defensive lineman Jeffrey Simmons talked some serious trash toward Caleb Williams.

Williams has been a star since High School, and was arguably the best quarterback in the 2020 recruiting class. During his time at Oklahoma and then at USC, people noticed that Williams would paint his nails for games.

Here’s what he had to say about it last fall, courtesy of CBS Sports.

“It started, I would say, three years ago,” Williams said. “It was my last year of high school. My mom does nails. Let’s just start it off there. She’s done it my whole life. It’s just kind of always been around me. Nobody else does it. I just kinda like to do new things.”

That’s some tough talk from a guy that was caught on video punching a woman in his past. Maybe his phrasing here could have been
better.
Caleb Williams and the Bears are 4-point home favorites on Sunday.
