Ohio State vs. Tennessee was expected to be one of the top matchups in the College Football Playoff. Instead, it ended in blowout fashion in favor of the Buckeyes.
The home team jumped out to a three-score first quarter lead before cruising to the 42-17 victory. After the fact, Ohio State players let the Vols hear it.
Jeremiah Smith took to social media almost immediately after the win. The five-star freshman looked like the best player on the field as he totaled a 100-yard night with a pair of touchdown receptions.
The performance came despite his lining up against a Tennessee defense that was touted as one of the nation’s best. The Vols boasted one of the stingiest units in the SEC, ranking second in the conference in yards allowed.
