One NFL fan base feels particularly spurned by University of Oregon quarterback Dante Moore’s decision to return to college instead of entering the 2026 NFL Draft, and that’s the New York Jets.

With Dante Moore deciding to return to Oregon, the Jets — who own the 2nd overall pick in this spring’s NFL Draft — now find themselves in the unenviable position of being the second team in a “one QB” draft, with Heisman Trophy winner Fernando Mendoza expected to be taken #1 overall by the Las Vegas Raiders.

The issue for the Jets is, other than Mendoza and Moore, there are currently no quarterback prospects that profile as a Top 3 NFL Draft pick.

New York Jets fans are miserable yet again after University of Oregon quarterback Dante Moore decides to go back to school

“My final message to Dante Moore as a Jets fan: if you’re not with us when we’re 3-14, don’t hop on the bandwagon next year when we’re 3-14,” one Jets fan joked about Moore’s decision to return to Oregon.

“I don’t think Dante Moore is going back to school to avoid the Jets. But if he is, he’s in for a rude surprise when he sees who’s picking top 3 again next year!” a second concurred.

Making matters worse for Jets fans is the fact that their crosstown rivals, the New York Giants, are on the verge of hiring John Harbaugh as their next head coach, leaving the Gang Green faithful feeling even more depressed about their current situation.
