A truly miserable New York Jets fan — is there any other kind? — has complied a list of the franchise’s top 25 most miserable, “only the Jets” moments of the last 15 years, and the list is astounding in its unrelenting misery.

As a New York Jets fan myself, I’m well aware of just how cursed the franchise is, and how miserable of an experience it is to root for them. The blackhole nature of the Jets sent me to an entirely new sports, in fact, as Premier League soccer is now my go-to.

A New York Jets fan ranked the franchise’s top “only the Jets” moments of the last 15 years and it’s honestly hard to believe

Even still, seeing just how calamitous the franchise has been in the last 15 years — its last postseason appearance in 2010 was 16 years ago, by the way — on paper is hard to believe. Signing and starting Tim Tebow doesn’t even crack the Top 10, for example. Head coach Aaron Glenn recently firing virtually his entire staff after one season doesn’t make the Top 20.

Given that there are 25 infamous moments on here, it’d absurd to provide videos of them all, so we’ll instead just go with the Top 5.

5. Geno Smith sucker punched by his teammate (linebacker IK Enemkpali) in the locker room over $600 plane ticket debt

4. Head coach Adam Gase’s eyes at his introductory press conference

3. Traded Sam Darnold (who played 2/3 years with the Jets under Adam Gase and is now going to the Super Bowl), and drafted Zach Wilson

2. The Butt Fumble

1. Aaron Rodgers tears his Achilles just four snaps into his Jets career

Given how their offseason is going, it’s unlikely that the Jets break their 16-year-long postseason drought next year. That drought, by the way, is the longest across the country’s five major sports leagues: the NFL, NBA, MLB, NHL, and MLS.
