New York Jets Mekhi Becton, the 11th overall pick in the 2020 NFL draft, has made headlines after transforming his body and slimming down to about 350 pounds from over 400 pounds, according to ESPN’s Rich Cimini.
The 6’7 left tackle has been working hard to get in better shape after knee issues affected his performance in the past two seasons. Becton had a strong rookie year, but his injuries and lack of conditioning took a toll on his performance.

The Jets still have a decision to make about exercising Becton’s fifth-year option for the 2024 season, and him getting back in shape should play a positive part in that.
Becton’s journey to slimming down has been a challenging one. He has had to change his diet, exercise routine, and mindset to achieve his goals.
Becton’s commitment to his health has not only impacted his football career but also his personal life. He is an inspiration to many who have struggled with weight issues and has shown that with dedication and hard work, anything is possible.
Becton still has a lot to prove, but his transformation has given him a new lease on life. With his dedication and hard work, he has the potential to become one of the league’s top tackles and help lead the Jets to success in the upcoming season.
