Los Angeles Chargers Head Coach Jim Harbaugh loves football. Yeah, it’s his job, and I’m sure that all NFL head coaches love football, but Jim Harbaugh seems to be at the top in terms of his love for the game.
Just how much does the reigning College Football Playoff Champion love football? Comments he made at a Friday press conference will give quite a bit of insight to his love of the game.
The Chargers are off to a 1-0 start after a solid 22-10 win over the divisional rival Raiders last weekend that saw the team play the style of ball Harbaugh loves to coach. They ran the ball really well, tallying 176 yards on 27 carries. And, they pressured Raiders quarterback Gardner Minshew consistently, holding the Raiders to just 296 yards of offense on the day. Rookie offensive tackle Joe Alt played like a superstar at the position in his first game to form one of the league’s best tackle tandems with Rashawn Slater. Overall, a good day at the office for Jim Harbaugh and the Chargers.
No matter what you think of the controversial coach, his love of football is obvious. He proclaimed himself a “football guy” on Friday with this viral clip.

“I love guys who like football and guys who like football, they like me back, and I like them back. And even guys that don’t like football, I mean, they try to avoid me because I’m always trying to get them to like football more,” Jim Harbaugh said.

The Los Angeles Chargers have a great chance to get to 2-0 this weekend when they take on the terrible Carolina Panthers in Charlotte. If they win, Jim Harbaugh will love football even more, I’m sure.
