Jim Harbaugh might’ve made the move to the NFL, but that hasn’t completely removed the head coach from the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry. He was seen trolling Ryan Day in a recent Chargers hype video, using a quote often heard when Harbaugh was roaming the sidelines in Ann Arbor.

In 2021, Harbaugh said that Ryan Day was “born on third base” after a win over the Buckeyes in the season-ending matchup.

“Some people are born on third base and act like they’ve hit a triple, but they didn’t,” he quipped. Essentially, he suggested that Day was wrongfully taking credit for Ohio State’s success after inheriting a program built by Urban Meyer.

Harbaugh never referenced Day, but most got the idea of who the comment was directed at.

After winning a national championship, and three straight rivalry games over the Buckeyes, Harbaugh bolted for Los Angeles. Even as the head coach of the Chargers, he continues to troll Day.

Jim Harbaugh’s “born on third” remark made an appearance in a Chargers hype video.

A message from the head coach is posted in the locker room, providing motivation to players and noting dedication to their craft.

An interesting excerpt has riled fans in the Ohio State-Michigan rivalry.

“None here were born on third base, but rather, had to work their way to first, then second, then third.”

Even in LA, Jim Harbaugh can’t help but jab his old rival!

While the Chargers head coach will no longer take part in that late November contest, it’s one that could weigh heavily on Ryan Day’s future in Columbus.

Paul Finebaum recently suggested that Day should be fired with a fourth straight loss to the Wolverines given Harbaugh’s departure and a loaded Ohio State roster.

Can he end the streak?

At the moment, Michigan has bragging rights – and Jim Harbaugh isn’t letting anyone forget it!
