Indianapolis Colts Owner Jim Irsay is known for doing some outlandish stuff. When’s he’s not getting in trouble off the field, the longtime owner is always putting his foot in his mouth.
Irsay, who inherited the team from his dad, took control of the franchise in the mid 1990’s. And, the franchise has done quite a bit of winning since then. They’ve played in two Super Bowls, won one, and had great stretches with franchise quarterbacks Peyton Manning and Andrew Luck leading the Colts back-to-back.
But, Jim Irsay is probably most known for his off-the-field incidents. He’s long struggled with substance abuse, and entered rehab in 2014. And, he made news again last year when he hired Jeff Saturday as interim head coach midway through last season, despite the Colts legend’s lack of experience.
And, he’s back in the news again, this time for wild comments about the team’s star running back, Jonathan Taylor.
#Colts owner Jim Irsay: “If I die tonight and Jonathan Taylor is out of the league, no one’s gonna miss us. The league goes on. We know that. The National Football (League) rolls on. It doesn’t matter who comes and who goes, and it’s a privilege to be a part of it.”

I’m not even sure what he means here? The context is that Jonathan Taylor has requested a trade from the team. But still? what is he even trying to say here?
