Jim Irsay has been at the center of controversy lately after his conversation with star running back Jonathan Taylor went south.
The Indianapolis Colts‘ superstar ended up requesting a trade and it’s put the team in a weird spot moving forward.
Even so, Irsay seems to have other issues on his mind right now, as it sounds like he’s going to pay millions of dollars to help move an orca across the country.
According to IGN, Jim Irsay is “backing a $20 million plan to release Tokitae the orca from her enclosure in Miami and release her in a bay near Seattle.” It’s not clear how much of the $20 million Irsay is paying at this time.
"She's healthy, I've got the money, let's move her."

It’s actually a cool thing to see rich people use their money for a good cause like this. So, you can’t give Irsay too much flack.
Even so, sports fans can’t help but think about Jonathan Taylor’s contract situation when they saw this news.

I think most people would choose the whale too.
Honestly, I’d move the whale.

Probably not. But it’s funny to imagine Taylor doing so.

For now, it’s not clear as to when Jim Irsay and his partners plan to move the orca.
But it sounds like the plan is being made. Keep an eye out for more updates on this matter.
