The college baseball world was rocked by news that Texas had successfully swiped Aggies baseball coach Jim Schlossnagle from College Station just hours after his season ended at the College World Series. A Texas A&M student manager viciously jabbed his former leader with a post on social media after the announcement went public.

Chase Behrens recreated an iconic image from earlier in the Aggies season to troll Schlossnagle online. The post was deleted a few hours later, but it lives on thanks to the internet!

You might’ve heard Behrens name before as it relates to the Texas-Texas A&M baseball rivalry.

When the two teams met in early March, the student manager was struck in the face by a screaming foul ball while standing in the dugout. The result was a bloodied nose and his subsequent removal from the field.

After the game, which the Aggies won 9-2, Behrens provided an update for followers concerned about his well-being.

He did so in true Texas A&M fashion, flashing a ‘Horns Down’ while showing off that gruesome injury.

Now, the photo has resurfaced!

Chase Behrens reused the image as a way of trolling Jim Schlossnagle.

Chase Behrens post on X.

The ‘Horns Down’ is maybe more fitting now than it was in even the original post.

Texas cemented its ‘Big Bro’ status by swiping Sclossnagle just hours after he’d pledged his loyalty to the Aggies. Now, they’ll have to play against him as an SEC rival next season!

As for the post, Behrens published the image with a caption that read, “INSIDE STORY: It wasn’t a baseball that hit Me, it was Schloss,” at midnight on Tuesday.

It was taken down before 1 PM on Wednesday.

Chase Behrens wasn’t the only one blindsided by the blow. A number of A&M players also responded with cryptic posts upon hearing the news.

Aggie Nation grows angrier as each new detail emerges on the move. The latest reports claim that Jim Schlossnagle was in initial talks with Texas while his team was still competing in the regular season. That could mean he’s been thinking of leaving for months!

As it turns out, he’ll reunite with an old friend in Longhorn AD Chris Del Conte, who was also his AD while at TCU. As for Texas A&M, they’ll continue to voice their displeasure with the decision after falling just shy of a national title.
