Jimmy Garoppolo is enjoying his time in Los Angeles. The veteran landed with the Rams this offseason after spending his 2023 campaign with the Las Vegas Raiders.

In all, this will be Garoppolo’s fourth stop as an NFL passer. Thus far, it seems to be his favorite!

“This place allows you to be yourself, too, which is different than other places I’ve been,” Garoppolo said of his transition. “You’re getting pressed with a sense of urgency but in a good way. Obviously, everyone wants to win. Everyone wants to perform well. They do it in the right way here. They push you positively. There’s just a lot of good things going on, man. I’m enjoying every bit of it. Even the meetings are a good time. Everything is going good right now.”

The quarterback credited head coach Sean McVay and new teammate Matthew Stafford for the welcoming environment.

Stafford, who opted to return for another season in Los Angeles amid speculation of retirement, figures to be the starter under center for the Rams this year as he looks to add one more Super Bowl to his list of accolades.

Garoppolo doesn’t seem concerned with the depth chart demotion after serving in a QB1 role with the Raiders during parts of last year.

Attitude and atmosphere seem to be playing the largest role in that happiness, something he insinuated he was unable to find in previous stops.

“This place allows you to be yourself, too, which is different than other places I’ve been.”

Jimmy Garoppolo has suited up for the Patriots, 49ers, and Raiders across his 10-year NFL career. Which former squad he was referencing is unclear.

It’s worth noting that former Las Vegas running back Josh Jacobs called out his franchise a few times in regard to a dedication to winning. Could Garoppolo have felt the same way?

Maybe. Maybe not.

Whatever the case, Garoppolo appears to be loving life in LA, and more importantly, with the Rams. He’ll be forced to serve out a two-game suspension at the start of this season but is set to join the active roster in Week 3.

We’ll see if the comfort level in Los Angeles translates to production on the football field.
