Despite being a big NFL guy, broadcaster Joe Buck says he has no interest in attending Super Bowl LVIII in Las Vegas because he predicts it is “going to be a mess.”

“I do not have any desire to be there,” Buck told The Opening Drive on 101 ESPN in St. Louis on Monday.

“It’s a lot of logistics. It’s a lot of congestion. It’s just, I’m not that way.”

It’s not like he doesn’t want to attend a Super Bowl, he attended the Super Bowl in Los Angeles in 2022.

“I’m not looking for the Maxim party and going out all night,” Joe Buck continued. “It’s just not my thing and you combine that with Vegas. I don’t know, there’s going to be some story.

“There’s gonna be something that happens because it’s Vegas and it won’t stay in Vegas. It’s gonna be a big something that happens. I don’t know what it is. I have no idea. I just think… that is going to be a mess, in my mind.”

Buck, who last worked a Super Bowl in 2020 when he was with Fox Sports, won’t be forced to attend another one until 2027 when ESPN broadcasts the game in … wait for it… Los Angeles.

As for the elephant in the room – Taylor Swift – Joe Buck says that story has “been great for the NFL.”

“I think we’re all smart enough to know that this is a business. I mean, I know that some people get bent out of shape for whatever reason when they see her cheering in the luxury suite. I don’t know why. I don’t know why that’s so off-putting to people, but it is to some.

“I think most people don’t really care. And I think it’s cool that she’s there and cheering on her boyfriend.”

Buck also added that he met her a couple of time, once when she sang the national anthem at a World Series game, and he shares an agent with Travis Kelce.

He says that everyone he has spoken to who has been in one of those suites with Taylor Swift says she “could not be a nicer person to anyone that comes into her path.”

So there you go.
