Joe Burrow Gifts Offensive Linemen The Most Original Gift Of The Christmas Season

‘Tis the season for quarterbacks gifting their offensive linemen elaborate and expensive gifts for the holiday season. The longstanding NFL tradition has come into focus even more in the social media era, with the gifts frequently being shared online.

This year, the winner for uniqueness has to be Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow. Burrow provided his linemen with a gift they will never forget, custom swords.

It’s a bit ironic that Joe Burrow went all-in for gifts, as the pass protection has not been good in Cincinnati this year. That hasn’t stopped him from being absolutely incredibly this year, leading the league in passing yards and routinely playing Hall of Fame-caliber football. But, he’s a great teammate, and he is taking care of the big guys, even if they didn’t take care of him.

As of Thursday evening, no pictures of the swords have found their way to social media. But, I’m sure they will eventually.

Despite Joe Burrow’s extraordinary play this year, the Bengals are 6-8 and hanging on by a thread in terms of their playoff hopes. Maybe these swords will motivate his offensive line to play a bit better.

He didn’t buy the defense any gifts. But, if he did, they only deserved coal. They’ve been terrible all year.

The Bengals take on the Browns on Sunday.
