Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow posted on Twitter for the first time in two years to weigh in on the discourse surrounding Buffalo Bills signal caller Josh Allen following the Bills’ loss to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional round.

Following the Buffalo Bills 33-30 loss to the Denver Broncos in the AFC Divisional Round on Saturday, much of the discourse has centered on Josh Allen, particularly in regards to how much sympathy or blame he deserves for the loss.

One of the most notable plays from the game was a contested interception that was ultimately ruled in favor of the Broncos. The call was so controversial, in fact, that since-fired Bills head coach Sean McDermott went on a tirade about it in the postgame press conference.

Cincinnati Bengals QB Joe Burrow ended a two-year Twitter hiatus to way in on the controversial interception call in the divisional round game between the Bills and Broncos

According to Joe Burrow, however, the officials got the call spot on: it was an interception.

“Burrow hasn’t posted on Twitter in two years but logged on tonight just to smoke all the clowns who don’t know ball,” one NFL fan tweeted.

“You guys made Joe Burrow end a two-year Twitter hiatus to quell the discourse,” a second said.

“Bills fans were being so dumb Joe Burrow came on social media,” a third added.

With the win over the Bills, the Broncos will host the AFC title game against the New England Patriots on Sunday, January 25. The Bengals, of course, are sitting at home having not qualified for the postseason for the fourth time in Burrow’s six-year career.
