Depending on where you stand on Wins being a stat that should be attributed to quarterbacks, it can be argued that Cincinnati Bengals quarterback Joe Burrow has been terrible in clutch situations during his five-year NFL career.
While Joe Burrow’s personal stats might tell a different story — he balled out against the Baltimore Ravens in the Bengals’ Week 10 loss — as far as wins and losses are considered, Burrow’s record in clutch situations is far from ideal.
As pointed out by NFL writer Scott Kacsmar following the Bengals’ 35-34 loss to the Ravens on Thursday Night Football, the former Heisman trophy-winning LSU QB has just ONE win in the NFL when trailing in the last eight minutes of the game.
Reminder: Joe Burrow has 1 win in the NFL when trailing in the last 8:00.

It’s difficult to argue that Burrow could’ve done any more to lead the Bengals to a win on Thursday night, however, as he completed 34 of 56 passes for 428 yards and four touchdowns.
Unfortunately for Burrow, the Bengals, and their fans, defending AFC MVP Lamar Jackson was equally remarkable, as he completed 25 of 33 passes for 290 yards and four touchdowns, while also carrying the ball seven times for 33 yards.
Now sitting at 4-6, the Bengals’ margin for error is essentially at zero if they want to make the playoffs, as they’ll likely have to win 6 of their final 7 games in order to have a shot at qualifying for the AFC playoffs as a Wild Card team.
Next up for Burrow and the Bengals will be a trip to California to take on the Los Angeles Chargers for Sunday Night Football on November 17. The Ravens will head to the Steelers in Week 11.
