Joe Flacco Thinks Staging Next Year’s Super Bowl in New Jersey is ‘Retarded’

[He] made his first bad pass of the week when he used a derogatory term to rip the idea of next year’s cold-weather Super Bowl at MetLife Stadium in his home state of New Jersey.

“I think it’s retarded,” Flacco said at yesterday’s press conference before catching himself. “I probably shouldn’t say that. I think it’s stupid. If you want a Super Bowl, put a retractable dome on your stadium. Then you can get one. Other than I don’t really like the idea. I don’t think people would react very well to it, or be glad to play anybody in that kind of weather.”

While it’s a terrible choice of words, he’s got a bit of a point. I’m no meteorologist, but I can confidently report that it’s cold as shit outside in New York City. All those softies with the deep pockets are going to find the prospect of freezing their nuts off in sub-freezing temperatures in Jersey less than appealing.

The whole idea is stupid.

Of course, if someone wants to send me out there next year, I’d be more than willing. Hint, hint.
