Joel Embiid has beef with a local Philly reporter, and things have gotten ugly.
Last week, Philadelphia Inquirer sports writer Marcus Hayes went viral when he brought up Embiid’s late brother, who died in a car accident in 2014, while ripping the superstar center.

“Joel Embiid consistently points to the birth of his son, Arthur, as the major inflection point in his career. He often says that he wants to be great to leave a legacy for the boy named after his little brother”
Embiid fired back at Hayes a few days later.
“Like, that dude, he’s not here, Marcus whatever his name is. I’ve done way too much for this f–king city to be treated like this so I’ve done way too f–king much, but like I said, I wish I was as lucky as other ones, but that doesn’t mean that I’m not trying and I’m not doing whatever it takes to be out there which I’m gonna be here pretty soon.”
On Saturday night, Hayes showed up to the Grizzlies-Sixers game and was confronted by Embiid in the locker room.
Embiid reportedly “assaulted” Hayes and shoved him in front of other reporters.
Oh, boy, people will remember the Sixers season for all the wrong reasons. The team just dropped to 1-4 and Joel Embiid assaulted a reporter in the locker room.

Even reporters are siding with Embiid in the altercation.
