John Calipari led Arkansas to a dominant upset victory over Kentucky in his highly-anticipated return to Lexington on Saturday night. Meanwhile, a portion of Big Blue Nation actually helped to line his pockets with additional NIL money while trying to troll the traitorous head coach.

It was a win/win for the Razorbacks and the “chicken man.”

Calipari, a Hall of Famer, spent 15 years with the Wildcats. He left for the same job in Fayetteville during the offseason in a move that sent shockwaves across college basketball. His longtime friend, John Tyson, helped to lead the charge with the donation of a large sum of money from his frozen chicken fortune that can be used to recruit star players with NIL.

Arkansas started the first year of the Calipari era at 11-2 but it lost five-straight games to begin SEC play. The Hogs were on the wrong side of the NCAA Tournament looking in.

However, a huge win on Saturday night brings them back closer to the bubble.

John Calipari returned to Rupp Arena for the first time since his sudden departure. He was met with a chorus of boos, even louder than expected. It was not a mix of boos and cheers. Just boos.

Well, Calipari got the last laugh. Arkansas beat Kentucky by 10 in front of a hostile crowd.

Tyson was also among those in attendance and had a big smile on his face.

The Razorbacks’ biggest donor was thrilled with the result. He spent a lot of money to lure Calipari away from Lexington and it paid off with a big win on the road. Wildcats fans also put money in his pocket!

Some of Big Blue Nation tried to troll their former head coach by eating Tyson chicken nuggets.

In doing so, they directly supported their new rival. Purchasing a Tyson product supports the Tyson brand. The Tyson brand is owned by John Tyson. John Tyson is the biggest financial backer for John Calipari and Arkansas basketball. Arkansas basketball beat Kentucky.
