Fans were shocked to see that Jon Jones and Conor McGregor were not on the card.
According to McGregor, the UFC originally had him on the White House but moved him off it so he could potentially fight the winner of Max Holloway vs. Justin Gaethje.
🚨 Conor McGregor says he was originally supposed to fight Michael Chandler at the White House, but the UFC changed their mind and kept making different offers 😬

Ariel Helwani went on to report that the UFC wanted to sign Jon Jones to fight Pereira but couldn’t agree on the right contract number.
“They did talk to Jon Jones, they just couldn’t come to terms. It wasn’t the $30 million, but it was a big number. They wanted Pereira vs Jones.”
🚨 Jon Jones and the UFC reportedly couldn’t come to an agreement for the UFC White House card because of money:
“They did seriously try to have Jon Jones on this card, they couldn’t get to the number.”
