Jordan Blackburn was indicted on two counts of selling dangerous drugs approximately 14 days after his resignation at St. Mary’s Memorial in Ohio. The former high school basketball coach pleaded not guilty.
He smiled in his mugshot.
To make matters worse, Blackburn has a concerning history of questionable behavior. It is honestly shocking that he was allowed to continue his high school basketball coaching career at St. Mary’s.
Jordan Blackburn suddenly resigned amid a suspicious police investigation.
Blackburn was hired as the boys varsity basketball coach at Memorial High School in June 2024. The school, which enrolls approximately 850 students in grades 6-12, is located in the town of St. Mary’s about 20 miles from the easternmost border of Ohio. It is mot commonly known as just St. Mary’s.
Blackburn previously served as an assistant women’s basketball coach at Ohio Wesleyan University and coached boys basketball at Delaware Hayes High School for 16 years, including 10 years as the head coach. His second season at St. Mary’s was scheduled to begin on Nov. 28.
However, Blackburn was placed on administrative leave at the end of September when a St. Mary’s Memorial High School student contacted the local police department with a complaint against him. He eventually resigned from his role on Oct. 3 amid the ongoing investigation.
A parent whose student attends St. Mary’s later shared additional details about Blackburn’s alleged behavior— which supposedly involved the distribution of pills. The parent said “he should be behind bars for what he did” and “should’ve been fired instead of getting to resign.”
The former high school basketball coach smiled in his mugshot.
Because this remains an ongoing legal matter, police are not able to comment further. However, Jordan Blackburn was indicted by an Auglaize County grand jury on two counts of selling dangerous drugs.
This seems to correspond with the St. Mary’s parent’s account of what happened.
Blackburn pleaded not guilty to the charges during his arraignment and he was later released on bond. There was a visible grin on his face as he posed for the mugshot.

This was not his first arrest. He was previously booked by the Delaware County Police Department in 2022 and in 2023 for allegedly driving while over the legal limit, among other charges.
Jordan Blackburn was also described to me as a “Jekyll & Hyde” personality who often acted differently toward female students than their male counterparts. As of this writing, his next court date is scheduled for December.
