Jordan Chiles‘ quest for an Olympic bronze medal isn’t over yet!

The Team USA gymnast has been embroiled in a controversy surrounding her Olympic floor routine that was initially deemed good enough to win a bronze medal. But Chiles had her medal stripped on appeal and it was later awarded to Romanian Ana Barbosu.

But Chiles isn’t done fighting. The 23-year-old filed a formal appeal with the Swiss Federal Tribunal, Switzerland’s Supreme Court, to overturn the ruling by the Court of Arbitration for Sport according to Lauren Merola of The Athletic.

The appeal comes one month after she promised to “make every effort to ensure justice is done.”

“I am now confronted with one of the most challenging moments of my career,” she in an Aug. 15 statement on social media. “Believe me when I say I have had many.”

Chiles did not leave Paris empty-handed, however. She was a member of the Team USA group that won gold in the team all-around event.

Jordan Chiles Focuses On Controversial Panelist In New Appeal

Her appeal centers on the status of Dr. Hamid G. Gharavi, one of the three panelists for the case. Gharavi lists multiple arbitration cases on his resume in which he has represented Romania.

“Mr. Gharavi has acted as counsel for Romania for almost a decade and was actively representing Romania at the time of the CAS arbitration,” Chiles’ attorneys alleged in a press release. “Given these undeniable deficiencies, Chiles asks the Federal Supreme Court to reinstate the score that she rightfully earned at the floor event final.”

Gharavi has not yet issued a statement on the case.

Barbosu, meanwhile, has expressed for sympathy for Chiles while maintaining that she rightfully won the medal.

“Sabrina, Jordan, my thoughts are with you. I know what you are feeling, because I’ve been through the same,” Barbosu said in an Instagram post after the Cas ruling. “But I know you’ll come back stronger. I hope from deep of my heart that at the next Olympics, all three of us will share same podium. This is my true dream!”
