Jordan Gumberg hit the golf shot of a lifetime to save his card on the DP World Tour. He had just one opportunity, literally, to keep his professional career in tact and made it count.

It was pure jubilation.

Gumberg will no longer need to worry about his next chance to compete. However, the 30-year-old may never be able to top this incredible golf moment no matter how long he plays. It was epic.

Who is Jordan Gumberg?

True dimpleheads might remember Gumberg from his time at the University of Arizona. He played two seasons for the Wildcats in 2015-16 and 2016-17 and actually finished second to Jon Rahm at the individual Pac-12 Conference Championship in 2016.

The 5-foot-10, 165-pound Florida-native turned pro shortly thereafter.

Gumberg played limited schedules on the PGA Tour Latinoamerica and Korn Ferry Tour before he joined the Challenge Tour in 2022. A second-place finish at the Irish Challenge and a third-place finish at the Scottish Challenge in 2023 earned him a card for the European Tour in 2024.

The currently competes on the DP World Tour, which leads us to his remarkable moment on Sunday.

He had one shot on the DP World Tour.

The American golfer began the competition in 127th place of the Race to Dubai, a season-long competition on the DP Tour. The top 115 finishers secure a tour card for the next season.

Gumberg needed to finish at least 14th at Korea Championship to earn the necessary points. It did not look good through 17 holes but his day was not over.

The 570-yard 18th hole presented him with five shots to make something happen.

His first two shots set him up nicely on the fairway with a great look at the green. Gumberg lined up his third shot with direct aim at the hole and… Money! It went in for eagle.

Jordan Gumberg ultimately finished tied for seventh in the tournament. The incredible wedge shot moved him far enough up the standings to secure his DP World Tour card for next year. Incredible.
