In the leadup to the fight for the BMF title between Jorge Masvidal and Nate Diaz at UFC 244, “The Notorious One” Conor McGregor appeared to want to take on the winner of the fight when it was over.

In fact, UFC president Dana White even went as far as to say he expected McGregor to return to the octagon in 2020 against either Masvidal or Diaz.

Following Masvidal’s win over Diaz, McGregor tweeted a not so veiled reference to what to what Masvidal said a backstage fight with Leon Edwards at UFC London in March, “Hey @BurgerKing, could I get a 3 piece with soda and a side chicken box please? Loads of salt and vinegar. Thanks.”

McGregor also made reference to wanting a shot at the belt when it was first revealed.

On Tuesday, Jorge Masvidal made an appearance on The Dan Le Batard Show and called out McGregor for suddenly going silent shortly after his victory versus Diaz.

“To be quite frank, he was flirting with fighting the winner when the possibility of the winner was Nate,” Masvidal told Le Batard. “He kept throwing it out there. He even made his prediction. But, since I’ve won, he hasn’t said a peep. If you wanna fight, I’m licking my chops.”

“I’m not a bully, either,” Masvidal added. “I’m not going to be one of these cyber bullies. If you don’t want to fight, I don’t want to fight. If you want to fight, I’m licking my chops. Man, we’re going shopping. We’re going to do it big. You know what I’m saying? That dude don’t want it.”

In the mean time while he waits for a McGregor response (which will come to be sure), Masvidal can console himself with perhaps the opportunity to win a real UFC belt sometime after UFC 245.
