Former Fox Sports 1 personality Joy Taylor has publicly addressed being canned by the network for the first time. Earlier this summer, it was reported that Fox Sports was not renewing her contract and therefore cancelling her show Speak.

In mid-July, Fox Sports 1 cancelled Joy Taylor’s show Speak — which was co-hosted by former NFL wide receiver Keyshawn Taylor and Boston Celtics star Paul Pierce alongside Taylor — in addition to the shows The Facility and Breakfast Ball.

During a recent interview, her first since being let go by Fox Sports 1, Joy Taylor addressed where here head is currently at. According to Taylor, she has lost her passion for her work and isn’t sure if she’ll ever get it back.

Taylor — who had been at Fox Sports 1 since 2016 and was most recently hosting the debate show Speak — also added that her dream is now to “just disappear.”

“Overall, like the saying ‘it doesn’t feel like work is when you’re doing something that you actually enjoy. I think what happened to me this year took that away from me,. I don’t know if I’ll get that back. I might — and maybe like when the callous forms over the wound and you get away from things you it doesn’t feel, like the tremors go away, so we’re not there yet — but right now, it doesn’t feel that way. It doesn’t feel exciting,” Taylor said on the Higher Learning podcast.

“Like the big dreams seem like ‘I’m going to do it but I’m not as excited about it.’ And that’s kind of s—– ’cause this has been a lot of work and a lot of passion. But it’s been something that I think has come naturally to me because I enjoy it… but the building the work of it all, it doesn’t feel the same. Like the dream now is to just disappear.”

Earlier this year, about six month before her dismissal, Taylor was named in a lawsuit that filed by Noushin Faraji, a former Fox Sports 1 make-up artist, accusing her of sleeping with men at the network — on-air personalty Emmanuel Acho (whose show The Facility was also recently canceled by FS1) and FOX Sports EVP Charlie Dixon — to “advance her career.”

Taylor, the younger sister of sister of Pro Football Hall of Famer legend Jason, began her career in media with a local radio station in Miami. Taylor later moved to FS1 as a part-time member of The Herd with Colin Cowherd. In 2016, she became the moderator of Skip Bayless’ morning show with Shannon Sharpe, Undisputed, before moving on to Speak in 2022.
