NY Mets fans are a bit worried about Juan Soto’s signing after seeing his physique. Last week, the Mets signed Soto to a $765 million 15-year contract, the largest contract in pro sports history.
On Thursday, Soto held his introductory press conference and discussed why he signed with the Mets over the Yankees and other teams that were interested in his services.

“I don’t think it was the Mets over the Yankees,” Soto said. “I think it was five teams that [were] right there on the table. I don’t think it had anything to do with the Mets over the Yankees. I think we had all five teams pushing until the last moment, until the last time of making the decision. And we went over to the Mets.”
Before the press conference, Soto took photos at Citi Field, and Mets fans noticed that their newly signed star was rocking a bit of a dad bod.

“Looks like he’s been eating some New York slices” commented one fan.
“Hope the Mets put a weight clause in the contract” said another.
Apparently, Soto had a good excuse for looking bloated in the picture.
