The Kansas City Chiefs are the undisputed kings of the NFL after back-to-back Super Bowl titles and an undefeated start to this season. Meanwhile, The Los Angeles Chargers and quarterback Justin Herbert, as divisional rivals, are one of the teams that would like to see that reign come to an end.

But, on Sunday, the Chiefs once again found a way to win a close game against the Chiefs. That put Justin Herbert over the edge, causing a rare outburst of emotion from the normally stoic quarterback.

The Chargers led 10-0 early on and had the Chiefs on the ropes for most of the game. But, ultimately, the team just couldn’t sustain any drives for points after the 1st quarter, and the Chiefs went ahead in the fourth quarter on a Samaje Perine run. The Chargers got the ball back with just over 6 minutes left, but the drive stalled near midfield. They were forced to punt, and never got the ball back again.

Apparently, that was too much to bear for Justin Herbert, who has had enough of losing to the Chiefs.

Justin Herbert has a reputation as a pretty quiet guy, so that was pretty wild to see. But, obviously, he’s had enough of losing to his divisional rival.

For his career, he’s just 2-6 against the Chiefs, despite throwing for 17 touchdowns against them in those games. Ultimately, he’s not the first quarterback to struggle to beat Andy Reid, Patrick Mahomes, and company.
