Justin Thomas Screamed A Classic Terrell Owens Quote At Tiger Woods After Sinking Match-Winning Putt At Presidents Cup

Justin Thomas and Tiger Woods found themselves in quite the alternate shot battle against Byeong Hun An and Hideki Matsuyama during day two of the Presidents Cup before the American side came out on top in dramatic fashion on the final hole.

Thomas and Woods were one down thru 12 holes before evening things up on the 13th which is where things stood when they got the 18th green. Woods hit an approach shot to just outside 17 feet to give Thomas a chance at winning the match after the Internationals had already missed their birdie chance and oh man did Thomas deliver.

If you caught the putt in real-time last night on the broadcast you probably didn’t make out what Thomas actually yelled at the GOAT after sinking the putt. It turns out he was quoting Terrell Owens and screamed ‘I love me some me!’ Imagine the adrenaline going through your body while yelling that at Woods, I would’ve passed out no questions asked.

Thomas was asked by the media after the match what exactly he said and he told the story about how he had shown the team the video prior to the day’s matches.

“There’s a video of Terrell Owens, just T.O. being T.O., but he yells ‘I love me some me!’” he told reporters. “And I showed it to the guys this morning, they hadn’t seen it, and I said, ‘If I make a big putt today, I’m yelling it.’ And that was about the biggest putt I could make, so I figured it was a pretty appropriate time to yell it.”

Woods was asked about the moment as well of course and admitted that even he yelled the same phrase back to Thomas after he sunk the match-winning putt.

Nothing like some T.O. like celebrations on the 18th green on International turf.
