Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau had a message for the United States after Canada’s big win. Before Thursday’s final, United States President Donald Trump invited “Governor Trudeau” to come watch the USA-Canada game at the White House. In his post on Truth Social, Trump also implied that Canada would eventually become the United States’ fifty-first state in the near future.

“I’ll be calling our GREAT American Hockey Team this morning to spur them on towards victory tonight against Canada, which with FAR LOWER TAXES AND MUCH STRONGER SECURITY, will someday, maybe soon, become our cherished, and very important, Fifty First State.”

“We will all be watching, and if Governor Trudeau would like to join us, he would be most welcome”

Unfortunately, the United States lost the game after a Connor McDavid goal in sudden death overtime.

Immediately after Canada’s big win, Trudeau fired a shot at the U.S. and Donald Trump.

The Internet had hilarious reactions to Trudeau’s tweet.
