Karl-Anthony Towns may have told one of the worst lies ever told by an athlete during a postgame press conference.

On Sunday night, Towns struggled and went 0-8 from the 3-point line in the Timberwolves’ third straight loss to the Mavs in the Western Conference Finals.

After the game, Towns told the media that he doesn’t understand why he’s having trouble shooting, considering he shoots 1,500 shots a day in practice.

“I be putting up 1,500 shots a day. Shot so well all playoffs… Confidence extremely high and to be having these unfortunate bounces, these looks are just not going in. It’s tough”

TNT’s ‘Inside The NBA” immediately called “cap” on KAT’s blatant lie.

Draymond Green: “KAT’s cappin. No one is shooting 1,500 shots a day right now.”

Kenny Smith “I’m a shooter…to make 300 in a day takes about 45 minutes, so if you’re taking 1,500 it’s going to take you about two-and-a half hours, and you’re already practicing…so it’s cap.”
