Kendrick Perkins wants ESPN and other NBA media outlets to stop covering Bronny James’ jump to the NBA.

Last month, LeBron James’ eldest son made the shocking decision to enter the NBA draft despite the fact that many experts believe he should probably stay in college.

Last week, one anonymous NBA scout blasted Bronny and his play.

“If the Lakers don’t draft him, I don’t see anyone drafting him.” “Should be a point guard based on his size, but he can’t run an offense.”
“Poor man’s Davion Mitchell” “He is not an NBA prospect in my opinion.”

During a recent episode of the NBA Today, Perkins told the panel he was uncomfortable with the Bronny James coverage and urged ESPN and other media outlets to give their attention to more deserving players.

“Let me say this we have to stop. We have to stop as the media and everybody else shining a light on Bronny because its other players that are deserving of our attention,”

“The lottery guys, the guys that are actually gonna get drafted in the first round. Like, we’re talking about a young man that’s possibly going to go late second round or not get drafted at all,” he continued.

“We didn’t shine the light on Scottie Pippen’s son like this. We can’t move the goalposts when we feel like it’s convenient for us! … Look, I want Bronny to be successful,” “But I’m also being a realist here.”

While Perkins received praised for his comments to ESPN, the company will probably continue to heavily cover Bronny leading up the NBA draft because of the ratings that it will bring.
