Kendrick Perkins continued his recent beef with LeBron James on Monday during an episode of First Take. After blasting the Lakers star for trying to steal some spotlight from the NBA Finals last week, he later called LeBron “sensitive” for how he handled the criticism.

Apparently, the back and forth was worthy of a 10-minute segment on ESPN Monday morning.

Perkins was heard ripping James ahead of Game 1 between the Dallas Mavericks and Boston Celtics over his praise of former teammate Kyrie Irving.

“I’m so f—ing happy and proud to watch [Kyrie] continue his growth and at the same time, I’m so f—ing mad that I’m not his running mate anymore.”

Some viewed the commentary as simply one NBA star recognizing another’s impact. Kendrick Perkins was not one of those people.

He voiced his frustrations with James ahead of the NBA Finals opener, believing it to be one of a number of instances in which the league’s all-time scorer has attempted to grab attention.

“Here we go again, [LeBron James] weaseling his way into somebody else’s moment,” he said. “This is not about you! Your team is at home.”

LeBron James unfollowed Kendrick Perkins after that criticism…

And ESPN felt it worthy of a lengthy segment from Perk, himself. Talk about keeping the focus on the Finals!

Here’s what Perkins had to say on Monday:

“Imagine unfollowing me on Twitter, but you still gotta watch me on TV everyday,” he quipped. “I ain’t going nowhere… I think LeBron James got sensitive over the last couple weeks because I’ve been calling him out on certain things that he might not agree with.

“You have my phone number. If you had a problem with anything I said, we could’ve picked up the phone and had a conversation.”

It appears LeBron didn’t feel the need to engage in an argument, but Perkins decided to double down on his hate! We’ll see if this forces a response from James.

Then again, he might not have seen it given that recent social media activity!
