A wild brawl at a elementary school basketball game is latest incident to go viral in the state of Kentucky. Multiple players, parents and coaches got involved after two kids started throwing hands on the court!
They just tased Ryan.
There have been multiple fights of similar nature during a few different high school basketball games in the Bluegrass State over the last 10 days. This one takes the cake.
Carr Creek and Emmalena are elementary schools, not middle schools.
Despite what is being said on social media, this strange incident took place on Thursday night. It involved Carr Creek Elementary and Emmalena Elementary, not two middle schools.
Carr Creek is located in the small town of Littcarr, Kentucky. It enrolls approximately 350 students in grades K-8 from across Knott County. Emmalena is located in the small town of Hindman, Kentucky. It enrolls approximately 205 students in grades PK-8. They are separated by about 16 miles on the east side of the state, up in the mountains.
These two elementary school basketball teams met in the A-Team Championships at Knott County Central High School. The game very quickly became a blowout.
Carr Creek led Emmalena by 18 points in the fourth quarter when a fistfight broke out on the court. Officials and coaches jumped into action to try and break up the brawl. The players were quickly pulled off of each other but not before blood was spilled. And that did not put a stop to the brawl.
A Kentucky man got tased at the basketball game.
Although the adults in the room were able to deescalate the fight between players, their involvement quickly escalated to an altercation amongst each other. The grown men started fighting.
One man in particular, whose name is Ryan, stormed onto the court from the crowd and charged at a different grown man who was already down on the court. Ryan did not stop his pursuit of the other man despite multiple attempts to keep him away. He kept trying to escape. He kept charging.
And then he got tased.
The announcer’s reaction made it seem like this was not the first time this has happened. They were extremely calm as Ryan took the taser from law enforcement and flopped to the floor.
The game was called off because of the brawl and did not continue. Additional context to what happened has not been provided at this time. Who is Ryan? Why was he trying to throw hands with the other guy?
What started as an elementary school basketball fight (not middle school) became something much bigger. The adults in the gym were not able to control their emotions. Ryan got tased.
