Fox Sports’ NFL play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt says Tom Brady’s popularity is wreaking havoc on his usual pregame routine.

During a recent appearance on Calm Down With Erin and Charissa, Burkhardt told his broadcasting peers Erin Andrews and Charissa Thompson what it’s like so far having the GOAT as his new partner in the booth for NFL games.

“Going to the field is going to require like an extra three hours. It is like a circus just going down,” Burkhardt said. “We were in L.A. doing a practice game, and it took us 40 minutes just to get down to the elevator just to the corner of the end zone. I had to take a selfie of he and Micah Parsons and Trevon Diggs on the middle of the field. It’s wild.”

“That is definitely a learning experience,” Burkhardt added. “We’re going to take a little more time to go down on the field earlier, but he actually enjoyed it.”

It will definitely be a different environment for Kevin Burkhardt this year with Tom Brady versus last year when he was working alongside Greg Olsen.

“I think that’s going to be fun on game day just walking around with him and players want to talk to him and give him some information,” he continued.

The nice thing for Burkhardt is that despite his high profile, Tom Brady doesn’t sound like he is going to be big timing him in the broadcast booth.

“Earlier in the year … we went to a commercial in one of our practices and I was like, ‘Hey TB, I know you don’t know me well yet, but … can I tell you if something sucks or whatever?’ and he’s like, ‘Yes, please tell me. Coach me up. I was like, ‘Alright, that’s pretty cool.’ So he just wants to be great, he wants to be better, and I think that’s been the really fun part.”
