The Brooklyn Nets have ended up in an uncertain situation over the past few days.
They had put themselves into the top 4 in the Eastern Conference over the first few months of the season, but now they’ve traded away one of their stars.
That has left many wondering what could be next for their remaining star, Kevin Durant.
While the answer has seemed to be that the Nets plan to hang onto him for at least the remainder of the season, it seems he has his sights set on one other team if the Nets decide to trade him.
According to ESPN’s Adrian Wojnarowski, Durant could be interested in a move to the Phoenix Suns.
Durant had interest in a deal to the Suns over the summer, but so far the Nets haven't shown a willingness to move him to Phoenix or anywhere else, sources tell ESPN. There have been a number of teams reaching out to Brooklyn on Durant. https://t.co/xYvo5rGZCY

For right now, the Nets still don’t appear to be interested in dealing Kevin Durant. Instead, they are reportedly planning to continue to build around Durant and try to remain a contender.
However, there are just 2 days left until the trade deadline and the Nets have yet to make a move that will put them back in the mix at the top of the Eastern Conference.
If they don’t find a deal that works for them in the next couple days, maybe they would consider dealing Durant to be able to rebuild the franchise with picks and young players.
If the Suns managed to land Durant, it would be just what they need to turn around a season that has quickly turned into a disappointment. The team will have Devin Booker back for the first time since Christmas tonight, but they had been tumbling down the Western Conference standings without him until recently.
With Booker, Durant, Chris Paul, and either Mikal Bridges or Deandre Ayton, the Suns would quickly put themselves among the favorites for this season’s NBA title.
They’ll just need to convince the Brooklyn Nets to trade Durant.
