Kevin Durant loves basketball. You’d think that would be a given considering he plays it for a living, but plenty of guys in the NBA don’t.
The problem is, Kevin Durant also loves Twitter, especially arguing with randoms. And, he did it again Friday night.
Some randos on Twitter started a Twitter space to deabte whether Kevin Durant was a top-five player in the NBA still. Just normal Friday night behavior. And, instead of spending his hundreds of millions on a vacation or a nice meal or literally anything, KD had to jump into the Twitter space and defend himself.
KD really hopped into a Twitter Spaces called "Kevin Durant is not top 5" 😅

Could you imagine basically any other all-time great doing this? Kevin Durant is going to go down as, at minimum, one of the 20 best players to ever play in the NBA. Yet, he feels the need to defend himself on Twitter all the time.
He actually did share some good basketball insight, though. The guy really does love everything to do with hooping.
Q in Space: "…What do you think makes a player…stand out above others?…"
Kevin Durant: "…1st of all, can you hold your own on both ends? Can you guard up & can you go get a bucket on your own. That's the base. If you can't do that stuff on your own, it's gonna be hard for… pic.twitter.com/M3nydVUiic

Imagine the surprise of these guys when he hopped in. It was actually pretty cool.
I actually think it’s pretty unique that Kevin Durant takes time to have casual conversation with fans here and there online. Seemed emotional before but now I think he actually doesn’t care and just understands how the internet goes
