Future Hall of Famer Kevin Durant has addressed the discovery of burner accounts that allegedly belong to him. KD didn’t have much to say, though.
During All-Star Weekend in Los Angeles, a burner account that’s seemingly operated by Kevin Durant was uncovered alongside alleged messages sent by Durant that were disparaging of his both his past and present teammates, such as Jabari Smith Jr, Alperen Sengun, Devin Booker, Steph Curry, Russell Westbrook, and Ben Simmons.
While Durant famously has plenty to say on social media, he was noticeably less verbose when questioned about the burner accounts by reporters earlier this week, as he completely sidestepped the question.
Kevin Durant has responded to allegations that the Twitter account @gethiger77 is a burner that he runs
“I know you gotta ask these questions, but I’m not here to get into Twitter nonsense. I’m just here to focus on the season, keep it pushing. But I get you have to ask those questions. My teammates know what it is. We’ve been locked in the whole season. … We had a great practice today, looking forward to this road trip,” Durant told the media on Wednesday.

While KD may have tried to avoid accountability for the burner account, it’s actually been attached to him for a few years now, as Twitter user @160and0 called out Kevin Durant’s alleged burner account, @gethigher77, in a tweet from February 2023 — over three years ago.

With the 2025/26 NBA season heading into its home stretch before the postseason begins in April, the Rockets enter the back half of the campaign as the 4th seed in the Western Conference with a record of 33-20.
