The Red Bull Romaniacs off-road motorcycle race is currently taking place in Sibiu, Romania over the course of five days with the first day (qualifying) taking place on a course filled with obstacles that, at first glance, one would think no motorcycle should be able to ride over. Yet here we are.

German rider Kevin Gallas finished Tuesday’s qualifying stage in 3rd in the Bronze division with a total 4-lap time of 14m17s.760 and 40 seconds added off the leader. Seeing his helmet camera footage below, it is hard to fathom how anyone could have had a better single lap run than this.

The first day of the Red Bull Romaniacs Hard Enduro Rallye is called the ‘Prolog’ stage and it’s held on the Bulevardul Coposu which is the main street in Sibiu, Romania. After this stage, the Romaniacs event moves to proper off-road tracks. This track in the city is unlike anything we’ve seen before and it is truly incredible these heavy off-road motorcycles are able to ride across these obstacles:

Kevin Gallas’ video was also shared by him on Instagram for anyoen who would prefer to watch it there over YouTube:

From the Prolog qualifying through today (Day 2), Kevin Gallas has moved up to 1st place in the Bronze division and has a 14+ minute lead over the second place rider.

Gallas is no stranger to success in these competitions either. He won the 2022 German Hard Enduro competition and has won other competitions in the past as well. But to see his skills on display like this through helmet camera footage at the Red Bull Romaniacs really puts into perspective how difficult this sport is. This competition is NOT for weekend warriors.
