The Twitter parody account NBA Centel has become so assimilated within pop culture that one of its memes has caused Kim Kardashian to stop attending Los Angeles Lakers games.
During a recent interview on her sister Khloe Kardashian’s Khloé In Wonder Land podcast, Kim Kardashian detailed how the viral NBA Centel post about her and Luka flirting with each other on IG is the reason why she has not been to a Los Angeles Lakers game since.
The fake post saw Kardashian commenting on Doncic’s Instagram after his trade to Los Angeles saying “I want to learn how to speak Slovenian 🫦,” with Doncic then replying “No, please don’t.”
Kim Kardashian has not been to a Los Angeles Lakers game since the viral (and fake) NBA Centel post about her and Luka Doncic exchanging comments on Instagram
“There is a basketball player that I think got traded to the Lakers, Luka. There was like a fake tweet or comment on Instagram. I don’t know where it came from, but it was like, ‘Hi, you’re coming to LA. I want to learn Slovakian or whatever language.’ Who knows? And then there was either—I don’t know if he really thought it was me — and then he replied,” Kardashian explained.
“Or if it was a fake reply. I don’t know at this point” Kim added. “But mine was so fake. And it looks like I’m hitting on this guy. I haven’t gone to a Laker game since. Who comes up with these fake quotes? How do you stop them?”
