Flau’jae Johnson decided to forgo the WNBA and return to LSU for her senior year of college basketball. It is her new goal to help Kim Mulkey with her wardrobe, even if it requires her to run sprints.
She is embracing the wrath of the legendary head coach!
Johnson, a First-Team All-SEC women’s basketball player in 2024, is something of a rarity in the modern era of collegiate athletics. The 21-year-old point guard will play all four years at the same program. She committed to Mulkey out of high school and never wavered from that commitment. All of the attempts to lure her into the transfer portal were unsuccessful.
Thus, Johnson and Mulkey have a special relationship. They are simpatico— which cannot be said for a large number of athletes who played for the ever-controversial, four-time national championship coach. Just ask Hailey Van Lith.
With that in mind, Flau’jae Johnson took a slight jab at Kim Mulkey and her wardrobe. The 63-year-old sat courtside at Sunday’s WNBA game between the Dallas Wings and the Washington Mystics.
Johnson was frustrated by the simplicity of Mulkey’s outfit and vowed to style her moving forward!
She is fully prepared for the imminent punishment stemming from the quip.

Mind you, this latest outfit might be the most subdued outfit Kim Mulkey has ever worn in her life. That is apparently why her star player was so disappointed.
There wasn’t enough to it.
She wants more from her head coach!
I don’t know if Mulkey is on X to read the comments from Flau’jae Johnson or if someone will sound the alarm. Either way, the latter is ready to face the wrath of the former. She is willing to run if it means her head coach will start dressing out!
