Isaiah Gibson is one of the best college football recruits in the Class of 2025 and Kirby Smart wants to keep him in the state of Georgia. However, the Bulldogs’ head coach doesn’t have time for games!

He checked the five-star prospect while being filmed on camera for clout.

Gibson, from Warner Robins, is widely considered to be one of the three three-best players at his position. The 6-foot-3, 263-pound rising senior will line up as an EDGE rusher on the next level. It is a premium position in college football right now and he is at the top of his game.

With 38 scholarship offers from which to choose, Gibson committed to USC in March. However, he kept his recruitment open and has since visited Florida (twice), Florida State, Auburn (twice), Tennessee (twice), South Carolina and Ohio State— as well as Georgia, twice.

It seems likely that Gibson will end up playing in Athens next fall. Especially after he decommitted from USC on the 18th. The Bulldogs are currently in the lead.

With that in mind, Smart is not taking any chances!

Gibson was recently included in one of Overtime’s TikTok videos. It asked a few high-profile recruits about the most famous contact in their phones. They were asked to FaceTime said contact after the reveal.

Isaiah Gibson said the most famous person in his phone is Kirby Smart and actually called him!

The two-time national champion head coach picked up right away. He immediately checked Gibson with a sharp quip.

Don’t call me unless you’re ready to commit!

— Kirby Smart to Isaiah Gibson

Although he was joking, he was defeinitely not joking! Smart picked up in a heartbeat because of how badly he wants Gibson to pick Georgia.

“Don’t call me unless you’re ready to commit” is crazy 🤣 @OT7 #nfl #collegefootball #shoutoutot

It certainly seems like Smart’s quick answer is going to pay off. The latter is fully expected to commit to the former!
