Give me a break, give me a break, Break me off a piece of that KitKat bar.” That’s what racing fans at the Silverstone Circuit in Great Britain have to be singing these days.

That’s because to mark the start of KitKat’s new partnership with Formula 1, Nestle unveiled a life-sized, hand-crafted chocolate F1 car at the legendary race track this week.

The chocolate KitKat Formula 1 car is truly one-of-a-kind

The car is equivalent to more than 16,900 two-finger KitKats, weighs almost 772 pounds, and measures 16 feet long and over 6-and-a-half feet wide. Every element has been painstakingly and precisely drawn, from the distinctive rear spoiler to the sleek front wing.

The chocolate Formula 1 car is the result of 1,254 hours of craftsmanship under the direction of master chocolatier Jen Lindsey-Clark.

“I’ve seen some incredible cars at Silverstone, but none as unique as this one,” Billy Monger, former racing driver, F1 commentator and presenter, said after he “unwrapped” the giant car. “In racing, we’re always told to stay focused, but even the best drivers know that you can’t perform without a proper break. So, I’m buzzing to be unveiling this giant KitKat car at the home of British racing to kick off the new season, reminding people to take a break and get ready for all of the action.”

F1 driver Checo Perez has served as the brand’s ambassador since 2023. Now, drivers like McLaren F1 reserve driver Pato O’Ward and Brazilian F1 driver Gabriel Bortoleto will be joining him when the series visits Mexico City and Sao Paulo in 2026.

“I cannot wait for our passionate fans in Mexico and Brazil to experience the world of KitKat, through this exciting partnership,” said Emily Prazer, Chief Commercial Officer at Formula 1. “When our fans attend a Grand Prix, we want them to take a break from the norm and become immersed in the drama and excitement of Formula 1. KitKat’s activations add a real sense of fun and relaxation at our races and create even more memorable moments.”

KitKat’s plans for the 2026 Formula 1 season

During the 2026 season, KitKat will be featured at F1 events in Nestle’s top markets. It will involve social media interaction, unique merchandise, in-store activations, prize promotions, and limited-edition goods.

Additionally, KitKat will run tailored advertisements throughout the Netflix series Drive to Survive, offering fans new ways to interact with the sport.

Sadly, limited-edition miniature Formula 1 chocolate car singles and multi-packs will only be available in the United Kingdom and Ireland.
