New York Knicks power forward Precious Achiuwa has a 1-year / $6,000,000 contract and appears to be getting his mind right or locking in, however you want to call it, during a trip to Zambia where he went for a stroll with two lions while holding their tails.

The Nigerian-born Precious Achiuwa has been in the NBA since the Miami Heat drafted him at #20 overall in the 2020 NBA Draft but only spent one season with the franchise before being moved to the Raptors and then to New York in 2023. This season will mark a sizable bump in compensation for Precious Achiuwa who earned $4.2M last season and $2.8M or less in every season prior.

I’m sure there’s some sort of metaphor to be gleaned here about walking with lions but the video is just amazing. It’s a massive flex from Precious Achiuwa who shared a slideshow of his time in Zambia:

The video also made its way to X, formerly Twitter, for anyone who is unable to view Instagram posts:

In the comments on Instagram, everyone had props for Precious on his incredible video. Cole Anthony commented “Bro got paid and started doing side quests.” Chris Silva wrote “By the tails is crazy business.” Christian Koloko replied “Nah u tripping bro ๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ๐Ÿ™Œ๐Ÿพ” And Mo Bamba slid into the comment section writing “You Really trying s— now precious๐Ÿคฃ๐Ÿคฃ

Walking with lions and holding them by the tails is, in fact, crazy business. I’m down to try anything and I am certainly not afraid of animal experiences but this requires some stones, to be sure. One has to wonder how the New York Knicks would feel about seeing their power forward walking with lions though….
